Wow! That's cool! Someone finally gets it! I have to admit it brought tears to my eyes when you were looking out over the cliff. The best part, stopping at the edge of the cliff, and seeing the world and looking out at what's just beyond the here and now. The big picture if you will. Your director was spot on for "Convincing" you to shed your clothes and just run. It's like shedding societies Bull**** and their Ideals and starting to thinking for yourself.
I've been a fan of your music for years, in fact while going to college it's 99% of what I listened to. Full of Angst back then I guess, now a bit more mellow with age and time. The one thing that I found fits both Swallowed and Forever May You Run is the line: ”I’m with everyone and yet not” both videos have lots of people in them and yet a person in today’s world with our computers and the internet and all our other electronic devices could feel completely and utterly alone even though there are tons of people around them. Technology is supposed to bring people from all over together, but yet we lose that direct social contact with one another.
Glad to hear that you’re back on the music scene and doing a lot more stuff. Sorry to hear about the disbanding of Bush it was a great band and shall always be remembered for its great lyrics, edgy guitars and straight up vertical style, amazing sounding primitive(like simplistic no clutter) style of drumming and great vocals. Always willing to experiment with new sounds and not have all of your songs sound the same. Wonderlust, great disc by the way. The minute I heard that it was coming out I had to go and get a copy of it. I listened to it a lot last summer.
I had to go and YouTube all the old Bush songs in order to reacquaint myself with them, favorite is definitely "Swallowed". I used the first two lines of the song as an example in my college Poetry writing class and the teacher said "He didn't know what the context was but they were brilliant and written by a genius. I was just glad to have handed in something that the teacher actually liked for once even though it was a 2 line example and not the exactly the best prose I’d ever written. He never liked anything I wrote except that and it wasn’t even mine. Go figure.
Anyway Gavin just thought I’d drop a comment about the new video and its appeal. Certainly moving and inspiring as your lyrics usually are. They conjure up such amazing imagery, and some great ideas. And to let you know that some of your old(er) fans are still hanging around and listening to the new and the old stuff and still rocking right along with you.
All the best in 2009 or what’s left of it and best wishes to Gwen and the Family. I hope that you keep rocking for a very long time and giving us some great stuff.
Thanks.

For a moment there I thought the video was going to end with Gavin streaking, shucks, maybe next time... I too love the wolf part, but my fav is that Kingston is in the video.. he is such a cute kid...I know Zuma will be just as cute.
Forever loving your music,
Lexi
