So tonight is the night of the Grammys. I swear I love tonight this time of year. It's when we see who is consider the elite in music. It leads to debates, boycotts broken dreams and fulfilled fantasies.

Or maybe I'm reading to deep into these things.

I'm just saying I grew up respecting the Grammys, because I respect the artist. And I believe that recognizing excellence in music is truly an admirable thing to do. But it leads to major division amongst the artists. A Grammy-award winning artist gets put on a pedestal that makes someone less acclaimed feel inadiquate. Dead ass. I do what I do, and I feel untouchable. At the same time, some might say that because of my youth and ...lol rookieness in the game, my music can't stand up to the big dogs.

It's quiet for them n1ggas.

On some G sh1t, I really wanna see the Grammy's be a CELEBRATION of music, as opposed to being a competition. Only because it will influence artists to work together for the purpose of making GOOD MUSIC. I heard early 08 that two of my favorite artists were gonna work together. At first I was caught off guard and like, "What the hell? What could they POSSIBLY say together on a song?!" and totally hated the idea. I guess I got caught up in the traditional thinking of music making, which is strange for me because I don't give a f*ck about how a song gets made, as long as it comes out dope.

Real talk.

If we could have a night where the dopest collaborations of the year would be performed live, that would be a history making night, every year. Guns 'N' Roses doing "99 Problems" with Jay-Z. Coldplay behind Justin Timberlake doing "SexyBack". Rihanna and Charles Hamilton doing "Take A Bow" with me on the piano and no other musician. Jadakiss and Red Hot Chili Peppers doing a remix of "Can't Stop". Joell Ortiz, Rakim and Lupe do a song with Audioslave, produced by RZA.

Now that just sound dope as f*ck. A night of collabos like that? Covering all genres of music?!

Chill. That's a night to wanna relive every NIGHT, nonetheless every year...

Looks like we're on the right path, huh?

To answer most questions, yes, I've been in mosh pits. Used to be a frequent thing for me, but I had to chill. And no, I don't plan on stopping the blogging. For real. I like to write, so don't question the bloggability... lmpinkao. I am fastly approaching 1000 (entries), with a project to correspond with it. And like I said, next Friday is "Well Isn't This Awkward".

Nothing is gonna stop this project from coming out, so stop... inside comment.

LA has some beautiful weather. It really does.

F*ck that. I'm trying not to talk about it, but I have some sh1t to say. I'm waiting until the 1000 blog entry to bring it up. Start sweating, get nervous, because I'm airing some things out about some people.

Wow. Advertising a blog entry that's a few weeks away...

Nah but yeah. I been holding a lot in, and I wanna let off (pause, but nah I'm straight face). I'm currently sipping a Bailey's at my favorite studio in LA (The Plant, baby!!!!!!), and I'm going HARD.

Neway I was on ESPN's website yesterday and there was a big conversation going on about this. Was he wrong? Should he have apologized? Was he just doing it to save his millions in endorsements? Michael Phelps took a big hit — and now his wallet could take a big hit, too.

A photo of Phelps smoking marijuana out of a bong at a party in November has brought his endorsement career to a crossroads, marketing experts say. And the megabucks that were flowing in could soon go down the drain unless America's superstar swimmer, who won a record eight gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games, changes his ways.

"It's certainly not good and it’s a disaster in terms of the near future," said Robert Tuchman, president of Premiere Corporate Events, a sports entertainment firm. "He's very unlikely to have new sponsors come on board and endorse him. And there's the potential for other sponsors to pull the plug on him, using this is an opportunity. He's going to take a big hit on this."

Phelps, 23, acknowledged on Sunday that the photo, which first appeared in the tabloid News of the World, was of him, and he cited his age as an excuse for his poor judgment.

"I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment," Phelps said. "I'm 23 years old and despite the successes I've had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again."

I've read enough. First off, if the n1gga is smart enough to give that last quote, clearly the weed doens't have a negative impact on him and his ability to articulate himself. Second, the n1gga won mad medals. Clearly the weed isn't affecting his physical either. If it was, his zooted ass wouldn't have one A medal.

Someone called me out when I toyed with the idea of a 4:20 project, because I called Lil Wayne out for his alleged drug use. A while back too, so whoever wrote it might have forgotten... but dig this. Any contempt I have towards Lil Wayne is because of the alleged drug use. I see kids that are in the single digits spittin Wayne lyrics, and though I'm sure the n1gga doesn't wanna be a negative influence, I've heard lil Harlem boys and girls blindly endorse the usage of heavy drugs. I don't condone the usage of heavy drugs (coke, X, heroin, etc.) BECAUSE I BEEN THERE... I might talk about my experiences, in an attempt to make you understand and want to stay away. But nah b. I'm not with that. So Wayne, if you've heard/read somewhere that I don't like you, that's why.

Anyway, Phelps shouldn't be condemned because of his weed smoking. WORSE has been commited by BIGGER athletic icons. Point blank. Whoever took the pic is kidna wack for leakin it. Just goes to show the power of "friends". A real friend would respect your position in society and do what they can to protect it. Knowing that you are ALREADY protective of yourself and what you do, they should try to HELP, instead of capitalize on it.

Real n1ggas is among the missing nowadays. Phelps, roll up the dutch. Get booted, hop in the pool, and let the waves guide you. If the people endorsing you are that conservative that your personal life means more than your public ability, then they on some other sh1t. Flat out.

I do understand that he has an image to uphold, but who governs what is a bad image? He ain't put Greg Lou Ganis' baby moms on thisisphelps.com, nor did he make a DVD with Aquaman getting lynched on the cover. He's just doing his own thing, on his own time... YA DIG?!

Aesthecially Challenged or The Aesthetics Challenge | Diary

Ima let y'all decide what the iller blog entry title is...

Anyway, I looked at the photos from my recent photoshoot, and I'm surprised at how cool they look. When you get used to a style of dress all your life, making changes seems like selling out. Not I, says the Hedgehog. I can look at these pictures and say, "I told you so..."

Dig this. All my mini-fro pics were intentional. All of them. I'm used to having my hair cut, and groomed. When I first signed the deal, my lawyer was like, "You got the music. Now we gotta work on your look..." He said it lovingly enough, but I took offense to it.

At the time, I was only wearing ONE outfit. Dead ass. ONE OUTFIT. Things had gotten so bad that I only had one outfit, word to pink. And I was willing to wear it FOREVER on some Doug Funnie sh1t. But my lawyer took me shopping and introduced me to Rothmans. Its a recession (rolls eyes), so Rothmans spending is at a minimum. But still. The feeling was surreal.

I deserve new and fresh sh1t.

My hair.

I refused to cut it wen I first came out as an inner-sociology experiment. "Are people serious when they say talent trumps image?" was the essay question I asked myself. And with that thought, I proceeded to grow my hair out longer than ever before. The backlash? Jokes from random bloggers, haters, emulation and insecurity.

And I didn't give a fuck. Because everyone was simply helping me give myself an A plus in my mental essay.

So now I'm on my "I feel as though I look as good as I believe my music is" type sh1t. I might not have the appeal of a JT or Usher, but yo I aint some ugly n1gga. The pictures from the photoshoot are awesome because they are a sophisticated spin on sh1t I always wear. Pharrell, I deeply appreciate your concern for how I look, but I don't feel comfortable being "fly".

I gotta be me. I feel the difference.

And for those concerned about the surgery videos, watch. Just wait and watch. I'm smiling right now because I feel like a kindergartener that got mad friends. Lol remember the "are you my friend" game? Where you go around asking everyone "are you my friend?"... No? Damn I had a miserable childhood... Lmpinkao holla back...

CHARLES HAMILTON sits back on a couch at a Los Angeles recording studio, marveling at the pink security wristband he received earlier in the evening while backstage at "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he accompanied Pharrell Williams and his band, N.E.R.D. It's impressive company for the 20-year-old performer, who's been hailed as one of the most important new rappers to emerge in years.

But Hamilton, who loves the color pink and video game character Sonic the Hedgehog, says he doesn't lay claim to any particular genre. "Don't call me a pianist. Don't call me a guitarist . . . a bass player," Hamilton says. "Call me a musician because I communicate via music. And if there's a word for somebody that communicates with sound, I'd be that."

Hamilton's progressive production style, mixed with witty compound punch-line raps, is earning him a following in the music industry. Executives at Interscope Records not only signed Hamilton to a deal in March but also gave the performer his own imprint, Demevolist Music Group. "Charles Hamilton is 20 years old but experienced and battle-tested beyond his years. He’s come from being homeless in the streets of Harlem to having his own deal with Interscope that includes him running his own record label. Though the MC had a considerable buzz with his two mixtapes, Crash Landed and Outside Looking, he really garnered the most attention when the home video surfaced of him, Kanye and Game in a cipher. The video led to a lot of people asking:
