Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Another Level. This is Blackstreet's second studio album, released in 1996 through Interscope Records. The album represents the group at their commercial peak, blending smooth R&B harmonies with hip-hop production and a polished, radio-ready sound.
Largely produced by group founder Teddy Riley, a pioneer of new jack swing, the album incorporates a mix of soulful ballads, groove-driven mid-tempos, and club-oriented tracks. It showcases Blackstreet’s signature blend of romantic themes, street sensibility, and vocal precision.
The project is anchored by the global smash hit “No Diggity” featuring Dr. Dre and Queen Pen, which won a Grammy Award and became one of the most iconic R&B/hip-hop crossover records of the decade. Other standout tracks like “Don’t Leave Me” and “Fix” highlight the group’s ability to balance heartfelt storytelling with contemporary production.
Another Level was a major commercial success, earning multi-platinum certification and solidifying Blackstreet as one of the leading R&B groups of the 1990s. The album played a key role in shaping the fusion of R&B and hip-hop that defined the era.
To celebrate the anniversary the vinyl will be reissued on 2LP standard black vinyl and limited color vinyl for D2C. The vinyl configs will include the previously released bonus track "No Diggity - Billie Jean Remix."
