This is the very first vinyl pressing of Villa Elaine by Remy Zero.
Originally released on August 25, 1998 (DGC Records), Villa Elaine is the second studio album by Remy Zero. Villa Elaine, was recorded at the legendary Sound City Studios by David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Tool) and mixed in London’s RAK Studios with Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, NIN, The Cure).
The album is named after the Villa Elaine apartment complex in Hollywood, CA where the band members lived during the recording process.
In 2004, the album track “Fair” was chosen by Zach Braff to be featured in his film, Garden State. In 2005, Braff won a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards.
